About me

I stumbled into the field of Psychology and Social Work as a direct result of my dysfunctional upbringing, a few incredible mentors, and a deep desire to help others feel better. Growing up in a household riddled with addiction, abuse, and incarceration shaped me into a young adult desperately seeking safety, security, and happiness. I knew what I wanted and needed in life but had no idea how to attain it or who to trust. In my first high school psychology course I realized there was a reason I felt and functioned in the ways I did. And as they say- the rest is history.

I dove into the world of Psychology as an undergraduate student, each lecture adding to my understanding of myself and the world. A few incredible mentors throughout college instilled in me a passion for helping others and bettering quality of life for those who have faced adversity. My journey to becoming a therapist stems from that deep desire to help others find healing, safety, and a healthy life. I’m a firm believer in feeling better even if we aren’t sure what that looks like.

I love this work and sharing space with client’s amidst their healing journey. Therapy isn’t always easy or fun, but I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative it is when you find the right therapist. My hope and goal for every client is that they feel better, live authentically, and love themselves. I prioritize creating a safe and approachable therapy environment whether we are in my office or meeting online. I’m a warm, curious, and affirming human and my style is collaborative, empathetic, and casual. I work from a trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and affirming perspective. I have experience working with anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, gender dysphoria, sexuality, bipolar disorders, ADHD, family dysfunction, relational issues, and major life transitions.

Outside of the therapy office, I am a Mama of three and a wife to my high school sweetheart. Together we love to camp in our big blue conversion van, surf, hike, fish, swim, and spend our days at the beach. In those rare moments when I get to be alone I can be found trail running, making delicious food, or attempting to keep my excessively large plant collection alive.
